Elmore Primary School has been an integral part of the community since its founding in 1875. When opened, the school had a total enrolment of 161 students and operated out of ‘rented building’. Our current school building was erected and completed in 1877. The peppercorn trees, which remain prominent on the school site were provided by the school board and planted in 1889.
Over the years, our school has grown and evolved, but our commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning has remained. The original school building remains, hosting our main classrooms and learning spaces. Our recent renovations have modernised the learning areas, whilst also highlighting the historical features present within the building.
Our school has a long and proud history of servicing the needs of students and families from across our region. We’d welcome the opportunity to share this history with the wider community and extend an invitation for you to attend our planned event.
